Boost Your Business with Customized Cylindrical Products

Businesses that find themselves outsourcing printing or labeling are quickly realizing that the expense may outweigh the convenience. Why be tied to third parties for customizing cylindrical surfaces when it can be done in-house using the right printer and accessories? Avoid processes that become more cost prohibitive and take a look at digital printing solutions.

With recent developments in printing on cylindrical objects, direct-to-substrate printing offers the ability to wrap a design around a complex surface using an attachment. Rollers rotate the object during printing for graphics to be applied to the entire circumference of the product, and the rotary device is adjustable to accommodate different sized cylindrical and tapered objects. This technology has become a game-changer for businesses who print on cylindrical products.

LogoJET’s Rotary 360° attachment allows you to create one-of-a-kind pieces and give life and appeal to classic or trendy products like drinkware bottles, cups, candles, drumsticks and more. Masterpieces can even be created by using recycled pieces and adding a new look and feel, turning these items into novelties that add a special touch at events.

Switch Gears with Ease

Simply select the desired artwork size and preferred color settings, load your product onto the rotary fixture, and you’re ready to print any logo or colorful design using your LogoJET UV printer! Not only is this a cost-effective set up, but various cylindrical-shaped products can be switched and re-loaded with ease. The fixture is convenient to attach and remove between different print operations, and its compact size makes it easy to take to tradeshows or to set up for a quick demo.

In-Line Printing

In just a matter of minutes, high-resolution graphics are printed by simultaneously applying full color CMYK plus white and gloss inks to bring colors to life. Any surface color, whether it has a dark, transparent or white finish, can be accommodated with this advanced feature. Having this capability is also beneficial to efficiency and productivity, as well as to achieving precise prints.

Flatbed Drinkware Printing

Over half of LogoJET customers are purchasing rotary equipment to expand their business, however, drinkware can also be printed using custom print trays designed to hold drinkware in a flat position for printing logos, names, slogans and other designs that can fit within a more limited print area. This method of customization allows for much higher profitability, since it can accommodate a greater quantity of products per print run. The chart below compares the potential profits per hour using a full wrap rotary print, a logo rotary print and a flatbed print on 30 oz. tumblers (using our UVx90R-SE printer model).

*Labor cost based on $15 hourly wage
**Printer cost based on 60 month installment financing plan and 2 hours per day of active print time, 20 days per month.

UV Transfer Film

Since Direct-to-Object UV Printing has some limitations (size, material, adhesion), using UV Transfer film can expand the capabilities of your current UV printer. UV Transfer Film allows you to create prints that can be applied to those items that may not be compatible with direct-to-object printing, including large or odd-shaped objects, items with handles or reflective surfaces.
