Space, Power & Installation
How much floor space does a LogoJET printer need?
How much floor space does a LogoJET printer need?
Plan for a minimum of 6 ft x 6 ft of total operating space for both the UVx40R PLUS-SE and the UVx90R-SE — that figure includes room for the operator, the PC, material loading, and maintenance access. For the UVx40R PLUS-SE specifically, leave at least 20 inches of clearance behind the printer so the full 24" bed can travel, plus 12"+ on each side for handling parts and reaching the PC.
Will the printer fit through a standard doorway?
Will the printer fit through a standard doorway?
The UVx90R-SE is wide, but it moves through a standard 36-inch door frame when tilted onto its side with the gantry in its home position. Always move it sideways with two people, keep it off the ground, and roll it on a hardwood carpet-end dolly under each side to avoid damage.
What kind of table or stand does it need?
What kind of table or stand does it need?
The printer needs a sturdy, level surface that supports its weight and full footprint. The UVx40R PLUS-SE weighs 330 lbs and pairs well with a welded steel workbench or a cabinet workbench for material storage. The UVx90R-SE weighs 410 lbs and includes a matching printer stand with purchase.
What power and ventilation does the printer require?
What power and ventilation does the printer require?
It runs on a standard, properly grounded 110V outlet — we recommend a surge protector and, in outage-prone areas, a battery backup. The printer also needs proper ventilation. UV ink has low VOCs, but a well-ventilated area is ideal for production; in a small room or residential space, add external ventilation. LogoJET offers a BOFA fume extractor.
What are the ideal operating conditions?
What are the ideal operating conditions?
The printer performs best in a climate-controlled space at 68–77°F with 35–70% humidity (non-condensing). Keep it within that range even when idle: extreme temperature swings can change ink viscosity and affect print quality when you resume. Our environmental conditions blog covers this in depth.

Can I run a LogoJET printer on a Mac?
Can I run a LogoJET printer on a Mac?
No — the driver isn't Mac-compatible. The printer requires a PC running Windows 10 or later for full functionality and stability.
What are the PC requirements?
What are the PC requirements?
You'll need a 64-bit PC on Windows 10 or later, an Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, 16 GB RAM, a 500 GB SSD, two available USB ports for the printer, and high-speed internet for installation. Before installing, complete Windows updates and use the local Administrator profile. Note: McAfee, Bitdefender, and OneDrive must be uninstalled (not just paused), and antivirus/firewall should be temporarily disabled during software installation.
Can the printer be networked, or run from one PC alongside others?
Can the printer be networked, or run from one PC alongside others?
No — the printer connects by direct USB cable (USB2, included, max 9 ft) and does not support networking; extension cords aren't recommended. It also must run on a standalone computer. The RIP software can hold multiple licenses on one device, but the print driver needs its own dedicated machine to avoid conflicts.
What You Can (and Can't) Print
What materials can a LogoJET UV printer print on?
What materials can a LogoJET UV printer print on?
LogoJET printers print directly on rigid and semi-rigid materials including wood, metal, acrylic, glass, leatherette, and a wide range of promotional products. There's a height limit of about 5–6 inches depending on model and product. For irregularly shaped or curved items it can't print directly, use UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers.
What can't it print on?
What can't it print on?
The printer is not suitable for silicone or wearable fabrics like t-shirts, and it can't clear products taller than roughly 5–6 inches. For those items — and anything with complex curves — UV DTF transfer film is the recommended route.
Can it print on mugs and tumblers?
Can it print on mugs and tumblers?
Yes, with limits. It prints flat on mugs and can run rotary on tumblers, but it's best for flat printing. With the rotary attachment the imprint area is about 1.75" wide and full wraps aren't supported. Avoid printing mugs with handles on the rotary — the 1" rotary wheels don't clear the handle and risk damaging both the print head and the product. On the UVx90R-SE you can fit up to 3 tumblers on the rotary at once.
Can it print on glass, and what is Pyrosil?
Can it print on glass, and what is Pyrosil?
Yes. For display-only glass, a pretreatment wipe and most adhesion promoters are enough.
Will a printed tumbler survive the dishwasher?
Will a printed tumbler survive the dishwasher?
If a pretreatment wipe is applied before printing, a tumbler can withstand multiple top-rack, low-heat or no-steam dishwasher cycles. Hand washing is still recommended to extend the print's life and protect the tumbler's vacuum seal.
How long does it take to print, and what does it cost per piece?
How long does it take to print, and what does it cost per piece?
Print time depends on the item and imprint size. As a benchmark on the UVx90R-SE, a standard 3" color logo on 3 tumblers (loaded on the rotary) takes about 3.5 minutes total — roughly 1 minute 16 seconds per tumbler — at about 2 cents of ink per imprint. Adding a white underbase on dark products roughly doubles both time and cost. For full breakdowns on items like golf balls and yard signs.
Do I need a tray for every item?
Do I need a tray for every item?
No. For flat products, most operators use the reusable stick mat included with the printer. A tray isn't required, but it speeds production by maximizing bed usage and ensuring precise, repeatable placement. We design custom tray solutions to fit your specific products.
Maintenance, Support & Warranty
How much maintenance does the printer need?
How much maintenance does the printer need?
Routine maintenance takes about 10 minutes and should be done weekly (or as needed in heavy production): clean the print heads, check for nozzle clogs, clean the cap tops and wiper blade, and confirm calibration. Consumables like ink dampers, tubing, and print heads are checked and replaced on a schedule. See videos and checklists at Printer Maintenance and the R-Series consumables schedule.

What should I do if the printer isn't printing correctly?
What should I do if the printer isn't printing correctly?
First check for error messages, confirm all connections are secure, and run a basic diagnostic. For print-quality issues, run a nozzle check; if it's clear, verify the gap between product and print head is within 2 mm. If problems continue, email photos of the print quality to support@logojet.com for hands-on help.
What does the warranty cover, and are print heads included?
What does the warranty cover, and are print heads included?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. Print heads are classified as consumable parts and are not covered. Warranties are generally non-transferable if the printer changes ownership — contact support for specifics.
