This is the shortest and least expensive extended service contract offered on the Roland VersaStudio BD-8. It adds one year of coverage on top of the Roland One-Year Trouble-Free Warranty, taking the machine to roughly two years of protection in total. For most BD-8 buyers this is the practical choice: the BD-8 is an entry machine, often the only printer in the building, and one extra year carries a business through the period when it is still proving out production volume.
