Roland BD-8 Extended Warranty 2 year

Regular price $2,999.00

Roland VersaStudio BD-8 Extended Service Contract, 2 Year (ESC-BD8-2YR)
This extended service contract adds two years of coverage on the Roland VersaStudio BD-8 desktop UV flatbed printer on top of the Roland One-Year Trouble-Free Warranty, taking total protection to roughly three years. The two-year term is for a different buyer than the one-year: a BD-8 that is already load-bearing in a production schedule, or one being paid for over a term longer than its factory cover, so that the payment obligation and the protection expire at about the same time rather than years apart. Failure risk on any printer rises with accumulated run hours, and this term covers the stretch where that curve starts to climb. Sold and administered through LogoJET.
Cover the whole finance term, not just next year.

Why the Two-Year Term

  • Matches protection to the finance term. If the BD-8 is financed, two years keeps cover in place while payments are still due, which is when an uncovered repair hurts most.
  • Covers the rising part of the risk curve. Wear-related issues cluster later in service life, not in year one.
  • Locks a rate now. One cost agreed at purchase rather than a renewal decision at whatever price applies later.
  • Removes an annual decision. No lapse because a renewal notice was missed in a busy quarter.
  • Coverage scope - Who Buys the Two-Year BD-8 Contract:
    - Financed or leased BD-8 installations.
Where payments continue regardless of whether the bed is running.
    - Established shops with proven volume.
Where the machine is booked, not speculative.
    - Operations with customer SLAs.
Where turnaround is contractual rather than best-effort.
    - High-utilization schedules.
Where run hours accumulate faster than a standard warranty period assumes.
    - Buyers who need cost certainty. Where a three-year total cost of ownership figure has to be defensible.

▶ FAQ

How does this differ from the one-year BD-8 contract?

Term length, and therefore the buyer. One year closes the year-two gap at the lowest cost. Two years carries a working BD-8 to roughly three years of total cover and is the usual choice on financed machines or proven production volume.

Can I extend from one year to two later?

Extended service contracts generally have to be bought inside a window tied to the original sale. Decide at quote stage rather than after installation.

What is covered?

LogoJET will confirm the current schedule for your configuration.

Does the contract cover consumables?

Consumables such as ink, adhesive sheets and fume extractor filters are wear items and are not what a service contract is for.

Who do I contact for service?

LogoJET first, by phone, email, online chat or video conference. We escalate to Roland where a claim requires it.
