Scaling Custom Production with LogoJET
About Glo Cubes
The Glo Companies, based in Starkville, Mississippi, is the creator of Glo Pals® and Glo Cubes®, two innovative brands built on a patented, liquid-activated light-up cube that brings joy to everyday moments. What began as a student design project to illuminate a teacup at Mississippi State University has grown into a global company with products sold in more than 36 countries and partnerships with iconic names like Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.
Glo Pals® are award-winning sensory toys designed to support children, while Glo Cubes® light up beverages to enhance social experiences. At the heart of everything they do is a simple mission: to make more magic moments, whether that’s through playtime at home or a glowing drink shared among friends.

Named to the 2023 Inc. 5000 list, Glo remains deeply rooted in community. Their headquarters is a renovated historic theater in downtown Starkville, a symbol of their commitment to revitalization and creativity. The company regularly donates thousands of products to local schools and children’s hospitals and serves on several nonprofit boards, reflecting a business model driven by purpose as much as innovation.
The Challenge
Glo’s original approach to printing involved outsourcing pad printing for large production runs. This method was optimized for scale but not for speed or flexibility. As interest grew in customized Glo Cubes, especially for events and corporate gifting, the company faced limitations. Long lead times, sometimes up to 80 days, reduced their ability to respond quickly and made it difficult to test new ideas. What began as a novelty request soon became a strategic opportunity to offer personalized products, but only if they could deliver quickly, reliably, and with full control over quality.
The Transition to LogoJET
To unlock this potential, Glo invested in a LogoJET UVx40R PLUS-SE printer and collaborated with LogoJET to build a custom tray tailored to their unique cube design. From the start, LogoJET stood out for its responsive team and hands-on support. This included material testing, ink calibration, and guidance on international compliance. LogoJET’s H2 inks meet strict safety standards—including tests for lead content, California’s Prop 65 requirements, and Children’s Toys and Child Care regulations. This ensures Glo can confidently provide safe products for families and other safety-conscious markets. The Glo team appreciated LogoJET’s willingness to provide quick feedback, explore custom solutions, and work collaboratively to refine the entire process.
With everything from tray development to remote onboarding, LogoJET empowered Glo to move from prototype to full-scale production in-house. This gave the team the agility to meet demand and the confidence to innovate on their own timeline.
